More Record Functions
Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for performing additional actions on records in your UnoLock vault, including hiding the note body, deleting a record, locking and unlocking a record, adding a file attachment, and assigning a label.
Hide the Note Body
- Navigate to the Configuration section in the left-hand menu.
- Select Options.
- Check the box labeled Hide Note Body.
- Click Save to apply the setting.
- Note: With this option enabled, only the title of your records will be visible, enhancing their security.
Delete a Record
- Locate the record you want to delete.
- Click the More Options menu on the record.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the prompt to permanently delete the record from your vault.
Lock a Record
- Locate the record you want to protect.
- Click the More Options menu on the record.
- Select Lock.
- Note: Once locked, the record cannot be modified or deleted until it is manually unlocked.
Unlock a Record
- Open the locked record.
- Click the More Options menu within the note.
- Select Unlock.
- Note: You may need to click a button on the left-hand side of the screen to initiate unlocking, depending on the interface.
Add a File Attachment
- Locate the record you want to attach a file to.
- Click the More Options menu on the record.
- Select File.
- Choose whether the file is already in the app or is new by selecting the appropriate option.
- Confirm your selection to attach the file to the record.
- Note: The file will appear as an attachment for future access. Free tier users may face storage limits (1MB).
Add a Label
- Locate the record you want to categorize.
- Click the More Options menu on the record.
- Select Label.
- Enter your desired label name.
- Click Save to save the label.
- Note: The label will appear as a menu item in the left-hand menu, allowing you to categorize and organize your notes.
