Creating Spaces in Your Safe
Overview
This guide explains how to create Spaces in your UnoLock Safe. Spaces organize data into separate work areas and define whether the Space stays private, is shared with other Safes, or is created as a Protected Space.
Access Manage Spaces
- Navigate to the main menu in the UnoLock app.
- Select Configuration.
- Click to access space management settings.
- Review the Spaces currently available in your Safe.
Rename a Space
- Go to the Notes section of your vault.
- Locate the available spaces at the bottom of the screen.
- Type a new name into the field to rename a space.
- Use the right arrow to navigate to the next default space and rename it as needed.
Create a New Space
- Click the plus icon in the space management or Notes section to create a new space.
- Enter a name for the Space.
- Choose the Space type:
- Private for a Space that stays inside this Safe.
- Shared for a Space that can be shared with other Safes.
- Protected for a Shared Space that requires coordinated approval before protected content opens.
- Complete the wizard for the type you selected.
- If you create a Shared or Protected Space, add participant Receive Addresses when the wizard asks for them.
Protected Spaces
Protected Spaces are created as protected from the start. Existing Spaces are not converted into Protected Spaces later.
Add Content to the Space
- Open the Space you want to use.
- Return to the Notes section.
- Create a new note.
- Add the records, files, or other content you want to keep in that Space.
- Repeat this process for any additional Spaces you want to organize.
