Downgrading Safe
Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for preparing for a UnoLock vault-tier downgrade, including backing up all data, deleting your vault, creating a new vault with existing credentials, and applying a promotional code for unspent credits.
Back Up All Vault Data
- Review every space within your vault, checking for records, notes, files, and cryptocurrency wallets.
- Examine all notes stored in each space.
- Decrypt and download locally encrypted files to your device.
- Download cloud-stored files to your device.
- Back up all cryptocurrency wallets by securely saving your private keys or mnemonics.
- Navigate through each space individually to locate and back up all data, ensuring no files, records, or wallets are overlooked.
- Store your backups in a secure location.
- Double-check every space, record, and file to confirm all data is backed up.
- Note: Due to UnoLock’s client-side encryption, the app cannot automatically back up or export your vault. All data will be permanently deleted during the downgrade process, so this step is critical.
